Loved.

This weekend was an incredible one! Emily Saller and Matt Adams got married on Saturday and so many people came in from out of town for the wedding. KrisAnn, Mickey McCloud, and Hannah Anderson came in on Thursday and stopped by the house for a while. An hour with these ladies is just not enough. I miss them all so much!!!

It was so wonderful to see Emily and Matt get married. They are a beautiful couple! There were so many Siggies and old friends at the wedding - we spent most of the time catching up and enjoying each others company!

Mackenzie Lewis and I at the Adams' Wedding!

Then Preston Woolfolk came into town on Friday to move the rest of his stuff back to San Antonio and him and Tyler Allen stopped by the house for a while. I love spending time with these boys, they are so sweet and a blast to be around.

Preston and Tyler!

Ricardo Navarro Torres came back to Abilene ALL THE WAY FROM MEXICO for the wedding! The last time I saw him was in December when he graduated. So it was especially wonderful to see him. I missed him bunches and enjoyed riding to and from the wedding/reception with him - he makes for great company.

Ricardo and I at the Reception! It was outside, in August = very hot.

All in all it was a very eventful weekend! I love reunions with people I haven't seen in months. It makes me feel old to have my college friends come back in town to visit me.

Coming Soon:
Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Alex Gonzalez.
  • Next weekend my cousin Katie St. Clair is getting married to Alex Gonzalez! I am extremely happy for these two! Alex will be such a blessing and wonderful addition to our family! I cannot wait to watch them grow together in marriage.

Disciplined.

I was completely anti-blog until I read my first blog by KrisAnn (her blog is great you should read it). I wasn't sure if my life was exciting enough to blog about and I know I do not need another distraction in my life. But as I thought about it I decided that a blog would be a great idea. I will warn you now: I probably won't update this more than once a week and I will fall behind most of the time in updating you all on my life, but I figured as my undergraduate college days are coming to an end now is a great time to start this. I have several goals and reasons for starting this blog. I want to try and remained disciplined enough to keep this going. Feel free to make bets on how long it takes before I quit posting. I also thought it would be neat someday to show my future husband, children, and friends what my life was like on a day to day basis. I named it "One. Word." because of my favorite quote by Thomas Jefferson. Many people in my life that I respect and look up to are "men of few words" and are always filled with such wisdom. Although I hope this blog is filled with many words, paragraphs, and phrases to give you all entertained insight into my life, I hope that each word gives meaning and purpose. Be prepared for random posts with pictures of my trips (I am obsessed with traveling), my amazing friends(I am blessed with so many), my internship, and there will likely be guest posts from those closest to me because lets be real we are pretty funny when we are together.

Things to look forward to:

  1. I start a 10 week internship in Fort Worth with a regional firm in January.
  2. One of my best friends, Jordana, is getting married March 13, 2011 - stay tuned for the excitement of my first experience as a bridesmaid.
  3. I am planning my second trip to Europe next summer for 3 to 4 weeks.
  4. I graduate with my bachelors in May and so my friends and I will be moving, getting jobs, or in my case starting graduate school.
These are all sure to cause interesting posts.
